Who is the person behind the photos?

There is always someone behind my pictures; often family members who are particularly close to me and trigger memories back from my childhood. Or friends whom I shared experiences and feelings with. What I try to do with them is catching an expression or highlight something of their beings. Sometimes it's just details so tiny that other people seem not to notice. Others is just that they seem so beautiful to me that I can't let them go.

How did you discover photography and what makes you keep on doing it?
I discovered photography as a game. At the beginning I couldn't imagine it would one day become a great passion for me . I started photographing flowers in my garden , moments of everyday life , clouds and sunsets. After a while I started considering the camera as tool to put into pictures what is often overlooked, a way to look at the world from a different angle. I like calling my camera the Inneres Auge- the third eye. Now I can't help but take pictures! I love making myself and people I love a nice good-looking breakfast and take pictures of the biscuits, flowers and jam we are going to eat. Every time I can do this, my day starts well and I feel I am ready for it! Taking pictures makes me feel well, makes me feel I am entering a world which is indeed the world I live but free from the dullness of every day life.

Which artist would you like to work with?
There are many artists I'd like working with and learning from. But the one I would have absolutely loved working with is Imogen Cunningham.

What do you want to show through your pictures?
I simply try to picture what is beautiful to me, according to my beliefs and feelings.

In your opinion, what are the characteristics of a photographer, and what differentiates it from a good photo taker?
What a photographer takes is a picture of an imagine, but what he/ she manages to deliver is a feeling. A photo taker can't do this because the process stops with him/ her taking a picture.

Tell us two bad habbits you would like not have
I' d rather not being untidy or messy.

Do you expect anything from your photographic future?
I hope photography will always be part of my life and my dream is to be able to make a leaving out of it, so that my job will be my passion. Learning and becoming a better person is what I hope photography will help me achieve.
